Welcome to William Bang’s miniature website. Developed to entertain, impress, and more importantly share a little about myself to you. I am a tech-savvy, up-to-date with current trends, and a highly creative geek. Being able to use software doesn’t mean you are tech-savvy, and being able to edit images doesn’t mean you are creative.

As a junior programmer in my younger years, I scripted pages of code in C/C++, Java, and computer assembly language – no, I’m not that of a programmer anymore. It built my talent to effectively find solutions to problems. Moving into a more entertaining field, advertising, I developed a passion for creativity. It is not putting amazing effects found in Photoshop, which I’ve done, but more. It is being able to connect with the market –or who your target is.
As a young adult, I started as an advertising assistant helping with all areas of a small agency in Toronto. Executing ideas with Graphic Designers, and learning the trade secrets to being a Production Artist. My capacity for the areas grew quickly. Combined with my understanding for Marketing, creative work, and the capability to produce them I quickly built a small portfolio with various clients. So are you interested in seeing the past WBANG? I must say I started creating my very own website a year ago -2009-. Just to gain more clients over the course of my studies in University. There has been many revisions -only a couple made it to development. I earned valuable experience developing these websites, which lead to creating others.

At first glance it may look like an easy task, but if we break down the images, editing, and coding. It is an entirely new area. WBANG doesn't use templates, where you just throw the information into its inherit spots.

For WBANG, I have developed websites in Flash, HTML, CSS, and my most recent content management one. You will find that a lot of image production and design consideration came into play when developing these websites. Whether it is the colors to typography to even the content, they were carefully selected.

So you want to know more about what I can do? Well, I’d have to say this website and much more. I hold a Bachelor in Technology, and am quite the observer. I learn by observing, and practice. You will get someone that doesn’t need to be baby sat so you can do other things. I have tremendous skills with the entire Adobe Creative Suite, yes this includes Flash. Front-end web development is also one of my strengths. And I’ve been doing it since high school.

My degree in the Graphic Communications industry also allows me to produce print-ready files - yes there are standards to print a file. You will get someone that knows his technologies oppose to the neighbour that just wants the paper.

By observing, I became aware of the growing social media industry and the strength of its implementation. I took courses entirely just to study this growing trend in the e-marketing world. Search engine optimization, (SEO), Google Analytics, and Omniture are all ways to measure the ROI, it’s even on this page. It provides insight to what is working and what is not with your viewer.

For almost half the page I have been talking about my technical capacity, but that’s not all I have. With the technical capabilities you would have to have the creative mind to be developing a website like this. In today’s society it is not just about knowing how to, say, implement a website. It is why it is being implemented.

Taking a large chunk of Marketing courses –sorry I decide to go with a Entrepreneurship minor - I developed my awareness to the importance of marketing campaigns. This is why I have a web a presence –well its only one of the reasons. In today’s society it is essential to have a presence on the web. It is not only used to build relationships, but more importantly provide information. I understand marketing strategies, and even seen how they are developed. You will get someone with these skills, and did I mention I have a minor in Entrepreneurship? I work to the benefit of the company and its future goals.
